English: Ponies on the lawn, South Weirs, New Forest This area of lawn is drained by a network of small gutters, presumably to 'improve the grazing' for commoners' stock such as these ponies. The hummocks on the lawn show that it is waterlogged for a significant part of the year. The trees on the far side of the lawn are at the back of The Weirs Cottage. |
