English: Pool, The Sheepwalks, Staffordshire There are many dead or damaged oak trees scattered around this extensive Country Park. The fallen oak here is host to many black kidney-like fungi (King Alfred's Cakes!).
On the far side of the pool, a cereal crop is germinating nicely; note the sandstone colour of the soil. |
