English: Porlock Weir Pebble Ridge Porlock Weir south, pebble ridges September 2006 illustrating the effect of cusp forms breaking the swell and a central scour with linear structure against the north north west oriented back curve deflecting South Western Approaches wave. The pebble ridge forming the harbour is about 80 metres wide by 8 metres high by 800 metres south and a larger element exists north beyond a marsh exit, all held up by rotting wooden piles and concrete bunkers. The high ridge is vegetated and in part stable, some with garden shrubs and Sedum, the remainder active, Ready to Move as the piles degrade. photographer Helen Ruth Stagg
