English: Porth y Nant village and Mynydd y Gwaith This view is taken from the Carreg-y-Llam quarry. Porth y Nant, built to house the workers of the granite quarries located above the village, occupies a level platform on the cliff top. It cannot be seen from the beach below. Neither was the granite loading jetty visible from the village. |
