  • This engraving is the title page for Antoine Le Pautre's Desseins de plusieurs palais..., first published in 1652 or 1653 (Berger 1969, pp. 5–6). It appears as the third plate in the later edition entitled Les œuvres d’architecture..., published by Jombert around 1700 (Pauwels 2013b) .
  • A rare early edition of Le Pautre's Desseins de plusieurs palais... is held at the Bibliothèque Mazarine in Paris. The library's WorldCat bibliographic notice (OCLC 799354074) attributes the engraving to Michel Lasne, citing Préaud 1993, p. 15.
