English: We were close on his heels for a good 2 hrs on an evening drive and were all set to pack-up when our guide on a hunch directed the driver to check out one last waterhole.. from a distance, the driver, although not very keen, gave it a shot.. driving up halfway to the waterhole, the driver exasperatedly mentioned.. "See, I told ya.. nothin there, lets turn back".. Turn back he did, but our own tracker in the group stood up on his heels to check.. and lo behold, the king sat there.. quietly, and probably wondering "when would these noisy humans leave the park"... amazing what the last 5 mins of a safari can achieve |
