This item includes four sheets. Map also includes a portion of the Canadian Province of Quebec. This map shows various mail service routes organized by how often mail is delivered to different areas. A table of general statistics pertaining to each state represented on the map is also included. A table of distances between major cities shown on the map is included as well. This map was designed by and constructed under the orders of Postmaster General William Dennison and Second Assistant Postmaster General George William McLellan by W. L. Nicholson, Topographer of the Postal Department. Engraving by D. McClelland, Washington DC. Lithography by P. S. Duval and Son and Company, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
