Description

Postal card from Brooke Simpson & Spiller, Hackney Wick to Berlin. sent in 1889 from their Atlas Works to Mayer & Mueller's bookshop in Franzoesiche Strasse 38, Berlin W 56, requesting the price for a single volume of the Reports of the German Chemical Society. Postmarked Homerton.

Post office w56 was also in the Franzosischen Strasse, number 33d, corner of Oberwall Strasse until the 1920s.
