Description
Nederlands: De Maatschappij tot Exploitatie van Staatsspoorwegen noemde zich in het buitenland Chemin de fer de L'etat Neerlandais of Netherland State Railways. Net als concurrent HSM lieten zij rond 1901 een affiche ontwerpen door Henri Gray en drukken bij Lemercier in Parijs — dicht op de beoogde doelgroep. Rondom een traditioneel geklede hollandaise met een kruik staan plaatjes van Amsterdam (paleis en Rijksmuseum), Den Haag (Ridderzaal en hofvijver), Scheveningen (pier), Utrecht (Domtoren en hoofdgebouw Staats­spoorwegen) en Gouda (stadhuis en Goudse glazen). Er is ook nog plaats voor diverse klederdrachten, een spoorkaartje van Nederland en linksboven een trein met slaaprijtuigen van Wagons-Lits.
