Theme : Speech Title : Speech 101

On June 1st 1945, Soekarno once gave a speech. Speech about what? Of course about the basis of the Republic of Indonesia, namely, Pancasila. Speech itself has many benefits and purposes. The purpose of speech are argumentative, informative, recreational, and last but not least persuasive. Speech is a common form of public speaking. Even though it’s a common form, there’s still a lot of people that find it hard to prepare a speech. Before we make a speech, we have to know its characteristics. Speech has 5 characteristics, which are: have a clear goal, the content of the material is easy to understand, the material must be objective, contains eye-catching insight, and the last there’s a conclusion. After figuring out its characteristics, the next step is you have to know the structure of a speech. Speech has 4 structures, there are opening, introduction, material, and closing. There are many types of speech, from state speech all the way to leadership speech. After you’re done making your speech now it’s time to deliver it. There are also many ways for you to deliver your speech. Memoriter for example, it means you have to memorize the speech, it is pretty self explanatory right? And then, there are diction is the careful selection of words to communicate a message or establish a particular voice or writing style, the pronunciation when we are speak. Intonation, face and body gesture, it can big influence to us as a speaker when we will speak in another place. Yeah, don’t forget to have a lot of flight hours, cause it makes us have a great memory, pronunciation, intonation, and confident. Talking about speech, we have to prepare the text which is suitable with the event talk about, we have to prepare better our knowledge about that theme, so we get confident about it.
