Description
English: Horsham's ugliest building? ...I don't think so! On the triangle formed by the junction of London Road (left) and Springfield Road (right) one may find this intriguing structure. Its architect (and those paying for it) had the courage to build something unashamedly of its time and should be proud of it. It is forty years old but still bold, interesting and talked about today.

I do not feel the same can be said of the half-timbered building to the left of shot. This was built in the last twenty years in the make-it-look-old style that seems to be popular with the developers here. It can't even be argued that it is "in keeping" because it isn't: look at the Georgian (C1835) terrace opposite! We deserve better... which brings me back to where we started.

I've recently discovered that this was known as "Potter's Corner" after Mrs Potter's sweetshop that stood at the fork of the Y-junction.
