| Description | Power transformers came in today. One will go into the DIYStation. Using four 1N4004 diodes as a bridge rectifier (other side of the small square perfboard below the voltmeter), and four 10,000uF smoothing caps (mounted on the breadboard at top), I got over 37v DC from this 24VA transformer. Using the center tap on the transformer's secondary winding, I get almost precisely +/-18v DC balanced power. Sweet! |
