Summary

edit
Description
English: A false paradox involving the Poynting vector. E is the electric field, H is magnetic field (X indicates field lines going into the page), and S is Poynting field (energy flux). While a circulating flow of energy seems nonsensical, it is actually necessary for conservation of angular momentum. See w:Poynting_vector#In_static_fields
