Description
English: This is a map of the pre-2002 prefectures of Rwanda. There are a lot of different layers, which can be combined to produce new maps. The borders were drawn with this this UN map (the 10 original prefectures). Kigali-Ville (which was established prior to the genocide, in 1992 according to one source) was made out of 3 communes (Nyarugenge, Kicukiro and Kacyiru) prior to 2002, these are clearly visible on a map on this page. To draw the Umutara borders, this map was used.
