Description
English: General principle of solid-state precipitation (non spinodal decomposition): A atoms diffuse and concentrate, and a new crystal AB forms when the solubility limit is locally reached (nucleation); the zone around the precipitate is depleted in A, allowing growth by diffusion.
Français : Principe général de la précipitation en phase solide (hors décomposition spinodale) : des atomes A diffusent, un nouveau cristal AB se forme lorsque la limite de solubilité est atteinte localement (germination) ; la zone autour du précipité est appauvrie en A, ce qui permet la croissance par diffusion.
