Description
Español: La actividad minera siempre ha demandado grandes volúmenes de agua para sus labores, generando además una gran cantidad de residuos semisólidos de alta toxicidad que deben almacenarse para evitar daños. En relación con estas funciones se levantan balsas que retienen áridos mineros, y presas convencionales. Junto a esta presa, cuyo muro hace las veces de carretera, se hallan las balsas de Gossan y del Cobre, repletas de residuos mineros.
