English: BANGKOK, Thailand — Philippine President Benigno S. Aquino III converses with Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva during the bilateral meeting at the Government House in the Kingdom of Thailand Thursday afternoon (May 26, 2011). President Aquino presented the administration’s Public-Private Partnership (PPP) program to PM Abhisit and Thai business groups, discussed cooperation in new areas, including combating drug trafficking and agriculture promotion, and cooperation in regional and multilateral fora. The visit aims to further strengthen the Philippines’ bilateral relations with Thailand, as well as cooperation within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in order to help build a secure and prosperous ASEAN Community by 2015. In the photo are Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario, Philippine Ambassador to Thailand Linglingay Lacanlale, Finance Secretary Cesar Purisima and Trade and Industry Secretary Gregory Domingo. |
