Summary

edit
Description
English: Bouleiterion. It was the building that housed the meetings of the city council. It was built around 200 BC, and held 500 people. Next to it there was the Prytaneion, dating to the Roman emperors time. It held the sacred fire, and was used to receive signitaries and important guests. It has the form of a courtyard house. On this picture we see the Agora beyond the edge of the Bouleuterion, and in the distance the white stone of the Asklepieion.
