Аудиенция русского посла князя Н.В. Репнина у турецкого султана. 1775. Гравюра И. Бугреева. Последняя четверть XVIII в. В 1775—1776 гг. Н.В. Репнин возглавлял русское посольство в Турции. Здесь ему пришлось решать нелегкую задачу — контролировать турецкое правительство на предмет соблюдения статей Кючук-Кайнарджийского мирного договора (1774). По этому договору Россия получила территорию южной Украины до Южного Буга и свободный выход в Черное море (крепости Кинбурн, Керчь и Еникале). |
