| Description |
English: Princes Drive Sewage Pumping station This was in the original beam engine house and is a steam driven alternator set. The engine is a Belliss & Morcom inverted vertical compound (enclosed) engine that is now at Snibston Discovery centre. This is direct coupled to an alternator with an exciter on the lefthand end. It exhausts via an oil separator with vacuum operated trap to a surface condenser at the bottom of the adjoining pit. Next to this are the motor driven centrifugal circulating pump and reciprocating airpump. |
