A poster declaring “intifada until apartheid falls”

Summary edit

Description
English: A poster stating “intifada until apartheid falls” and a sticker claiming that Jesus was Palestinian. While the term “intifada” has a contested definition, in the context of the Israel-Palestine conflict, the term may have a connotation of violence given the First Intifada, the Second Intifada, and the Stabbing Intifada. It is unknown whether the creator of this poster intended to support violent resistance or non-violent resistance. The use of the term “apartheid” is to characterize the state of Israel as having or being an apartheid state (i.e., having an explicit legal structure whereby different racial groups are treated differently under the law, by virtue of their race.) It should also be noted that Jesus was not a Palestinian (as no state of Palestine existed during his lifetime), but rather was a Jewish resident of the Roman province of Judea. The characterization of Jesus as a Palestinian is a noteworthy rhetorical technique of the pro-Palestine movement.
