Description
English: Here we see Polygonum multiflorum is apparently both a left and right handed bine. Climbing on pitaya (maybe white meat species, or maybe red). Central Taiwan hills.

Wait! Although I should have made more complete observations when taking the picture, I now think what was going on is the vine simply reached the end of the cactus, and then came back. Just like when you go to the drug store, first you take Main St. westbound, and then Main St. again, but eastbound, on the return trip!

So in fact it was left handed all along, as expected.
