Lapidem hunc posuit soror amantissima		 In the cemetery of this parish lies Nicolas-Pierre YTHIER, a man who was truly a priest, rural dean of the Royal Chapter of St-Quiriace whose prestigious Church he served for fifty-two years, as its last theologian and dean, then as its first parish priest, archpriest of Provins and honorary canon of the Church of Meaux. When the freedom of divine worship blossomed again, he piously restored and magnificently enriched the altars of Christ that the lure of gain had robbed and impiety ruined. Commended by his faith and morals, deserving the tears of all good people, he fell asleep in the Lord on October 14 in the year of the Lord 1809, at the age of 71.
