English: Public footpath to the reservoir This footpath leads from Casthorpe Road, on the outskirts of Denton, across a series of small, very damp fields, to Denton Reservoir. Taking in the circumnavigation of this small reservoir makes for a pleasant and interesting short walk in all seasons. The land here was very wet and boggy after some days of heavy rain and in the summer these fields are green and lush even after days of hot, dry weather. There is a stream in amongst the trees on the right, which was full to the top with fast flowing muddy water. The footpath runs along the raised bank to the right of the shadow and the field itself is a couple of feet lower with the water table just underneath the surface. Another stream follows the tree line to the left and Denton Reservoir past another field beyond the trees in the centre distance. The featured square's northern boundary is about level with the top of the shadow cast by an electricity supply pole.
