| Description |
English: Puddle on Butterfly Lane This is the largest of many puddles along the ridgetop green lane, currently extending for almost 100 metres, and I think a permanent feature. Intermittent paths through the hedge along the left-hand bank suggest that, in high summer, it may be discontinuous, and the depth varies considerably. We are on Permian (New Red) Sandstone which explains the caramel-chocolate hue of the water. |
