editDescriptionPullman and observation cars of Welsh Highland Railway (geograph 6064195).jpg |
English: Pullman and observation cars of Welsh Highland Railway at Porthmadog Harbour railway station. Bodysgallen, the Pullman, takes centre stage, followed by Glaslyn, the observation car. Bodysgallen, built in 1998, is fitted with Pullman style armchairs and painted in the U.K. Pullman Car Company livery. It was originally sponsored by Historic Houses Hotels Ltd, the proprietors of Bodysgallen Hall, hence the name. The observation car was built at Boston Lodge in 2008/9 and named 'Glaslyn' by Queen Elizabeth II at a ceremony at Dinas station in 2010.
These formed part of a Valentines tea special train. |
