English: Putney: Network Rail and London Underground railways This is one of the few locations where the London Underground railway passes over the Network Rail system. In the distance an 'up' District Line train trundles out of East Putney station, towards the Fulham Railway Bridge over the Thames, while in the foreground an 'up' South West Trains unit is heading towards Clapham Junction. The two railway tracks on the left, with the distant signals set to green, are the 'down' slow and the 'down' fast, while the pair on the right are the 'up' fast and 'up' slow. The distant bridge beyond the London Underground viaduct is the one for Oxford Road. |
