Description
English: Pyecombe Village Sign Viewed from Old London Road with the roof of the Plough behind the foliage. The sign includes one of the most famous things to come out of the village, the shepherds crook known as the Pyecombe Hook made locally at the former forge located near the church. I certainly recall the older village sign featured just the crook though this modern one has added sheep as a reminder for centuries of shepherding that went on on the downland surrounding the village.
