Description
English: Ovoo (chamanic mongol cairn), at the border of the Qinghai Lac (called Kokonor in mongolian). Ovoo with vertical wood pole are for water and/or mountain place. This is a place with both (huge Lake and Riyue mountains (mountain of sun and moon) at the North-East) At the top of the pole, a symbol looking like a sun on a moon crescent, and looking too like the top of the mongolian Soyombo symbol. We can also see other mountains in the South at the background of the picture. Kokonor area was inhabited by Oirats Mongols, that controled central tibetan power and placed Dalai-Lamas (dalai is sea in mongolian) to keep their power using religion.
