English: Quartzite cliff Towards the eastern end of this feature, the nature of the rock changes. From the blocks shown in other submissions, it becomes much smoother. At this point, the wall is over 12 feet high and this, together with its slippery nature and the deep ditch at its foot (check out the shadow on the rock) makes it a formidable barrier to progress. |
