| Description |
English: Queen Elizabeth Grammar School War memorial. This monument, within the grounds of QEGS, was built in ashlar stone in 1921-2. The front bears the inscription in bronze "THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE" and a bronze sword of remembrance and the school coat-of-arms within a laurel wreath. See 946829. The sides bear bronze plaques with the names of those who died in the Great War. The monument is topped by a bronze sculpture of a bugler. The monument carries a grade II listing. |
