Description

Queso asturiano de poca curación, elaborado con leche pasteurizada de vaca con un corte ciego y compacto y con color amarillento. El sabor es algo fuerte, un poco ácido, con toques de amargo, bajo en sal, cremoso y mantecoso. Tiene aroma amoniacal por su corteza madurada con actividad bacteriana.

Este tipo de queso, se ha elaborado tradicionalmente en las casas y granjas del concello de Peñamellera Alta.

Tipo de leche: Pasteurizada de vaca.

Procedencia: Peñamellera, Asturias.
