Description
English: Dacheng Dian. Confucius Temple, Qufu

The Great Achievement Hall (Dacheng Dian) is the main hall of the temple, located in the 6th courtyard. It was built in 1499 (Ming dynasty) and renovated in 1730 (Qing dynasty), at which time the porch columns were replaced with the carved columns seen here, and the roof was re-covered in Imperial yellow rooftiles. The hall is seven bays wide, extended by the porch to nine bays total.
