Description John Wood Mansion on the NRHP since April 17, 1970. At 425 S. 12th St., Quincy, Illinois. One of several houses in Quincy that were home to the founder of Quincy. Said to have been the official Governor's Mansion of Illinois during the 10 month Wood was governor, but I can't verify that. Now home to Quincy Historical Society
