Sunset is a serene time on the Little Salt Marsh at Quivira National Wildlife Refuge. Chorus frogs call, as do a number of water birds. Avocets skim the water's surface for the last snack of the evening. Squadrons of pelicans fly to their evening roosts. For a moment, the world is full of purpose and order.
