Summary edit

Description
English: Qutab-Ud-Din-Aibak started the construction of first storey around 1192 and was later completed a further three storeys by his successor, Shamsuddin Iltutmish who was his son-in-law. Firuz Shah Tughlaq added one more storey at the top and also Sher Shah Suri added an entrance to this tower during his reign. The style of the tower is patterned on Afghanistan's Minaret of Jam. Numerous Inscriptions in Parso-Arabic and Nagari characters reveal the history behind its construction.
