Bagnes (ejtsd: bány), 30 km. hosszú völgy Wal-lis svájci kantonban; a Dranse foly rajta vé-gig, magas hegyek, a Colon és Combin közt ésMartigny alatt a Rhóneba szakad. A völgy (1900)4062 francia lakójának főhelye Chables. A Dransejobbpartján van Gétroz glecser, amelynek lesza-kadó jégtömegei néha-néha a Dranse folyónak út-ját állják és egész tóvá alakítják. A folyó áttör-vén a jégtömegeken, ilyenkor iszonyú pusztításo-kat visz véghez. Legnagyobbak voltak az 1597-ikiós 1818-iki. Ezen utóbbi alkalmával a Dranse 32m. magas folyóként rohant végig a völgyön ósútjában mindent elpusztított; 34 ember veszett elés több mint 500 ház dőlt romba. B
