Deutsch: Römische Wasserleitung Vindobona bei Lainzer Straße 119 in Wien, Hietzing, ca 1895. Bedeutung der Buchstaben: a = Villa des Herrn Albert Jones, b = Gartenbau der Villa, bei dessen Fundamentarbeiten die Wasserleitung entdeckt wurde, c-c = Verlauf der entdeckten Wasserleitung, ca. 8 Meter von West nach Ost: ca. 50 cm tief und breit, mit Ziegeln ausgelegt, Sohle muldenförmig abgerundet, Innenseite mit 10 bis 15 cm starkem Cementgemisch aus kl. Steinen, Ziegelsplittern und Mörtel, fein verputzt und glatt geschliffen. Ob dieses Objekt zur römischen Wasserleitung nach Vindobona gehört, bzw. wofür die Leitung diente, ist offen. |
