Suomi: Royttän tykit, Tornionlaakson museo, Tornio, Suomi. - Röyttän neljä tykkiä löytyivät vuonna 1970, kun Röyttän ulkosataman merenlahtea ruopattiin. Ruotsalaisvalmisteiset tykit on valettu 1769 ja 1770. Ne ovat kenttäkanuunoita, raudasta, kuusinaulaisia. Kanuunat on konsevoitu. - On ilmeistä, että kanuunat on upotettu mereen Suomen sodan loppuvaiheissa kevättalvella 1809, kun Ruotsin joukot vetäytyivät Suomesta. Niitä ei haluttu jättää venäläisille joukoille.
English: Royttä cannons, Museum of Torne Valley, Tornio, Finland. - Four cannons of Röyttä were found in 1970, when Röyttä outer harbour seabed was redged. Swedish iron cannons were cast in 1769 and 1770. They are field 6 pounder field cannons and conservated. - It is assumed that these cannons were submerged into sea while Sweden withdraw it's last troups from Finland in late winter 1809 of the Finnish War. They did not want to leave cannons to Russian Empire army. |
