| Description |
English: R251 road signs at Glenveagh National Park As seen driving SE on R251. A right turn here takes us to the Glenveagh National Park Visitor Centre. This is a very scenic stop. There is no charge to park at the visitor centre. The only way to get to the castle is by a very narrow road along the SW-SE shore of Lough Beagh. So the options for getting to the castle are to walk along this road or pay a minimal charge for a roundtrip bus ride, as the road is closed to visitors' vehicles. There is no charge to walk around the castle, but there is a minimal charge for a guided tour of the interior, which is well worth the cost. |
