Description
English: Wing Commander (Officer Commanding IX(Bomber) Squadron), with Eurofighter Typhoon ZK347 whilst on OPERATION BILOXI in Romania. OPERATION BILOXI is the United Kingdom's contribution to NATO's Southern Air Policing. Based at Mihail Kogălniceanu Airbase, the RAF operate Typhoon aircraft for Quick Reaction Alert in support of the Romanian Air Force. Polot shown wearing the Typhoon (Striker) Integrated Display Helmet.BAE Systems’ Striker helmet-mounted display system (HMDS) is based on the company’s unique two-part helmet design. It provides comfort, protection, and helmet stability for fixed- and rotary-wing platforms. The Striker helmet design has also been adopted for use on the Eurofighter Typhoon and Saab Gripen multirole fighter aircrafts.
