Description
English: The entrance to the former British Commonwealth Air Training Plan relief airfield at Burtch, Ontario in 2019. The sign clearly identifies the owners of the land as the "Haudenosaunee Confederation", otherwise known as the "Six Nations." The address is 258 Burtch Road. The airfield has been abandoned for many years and within the past few years the grounds have been environmentally restored. The gate and gravel driveway are new in 2014. In 2014 the airfield site is planted with corn. The treeline on the horizon shows the location of the buildings. RCAF Burtch appears on VFR Sectional Charts as early as the 1943 Windsor-Toronto Air Navigation Chart and as late as the Nav Canada TORONTO VFR Navigation Chart from January 2009.
