| Description |
English: RV Prince Madog viewed across Prince's Pier The Prince's Pier was built by the Davies', a local ship owning family, back in the 1830s. It was used for the export of slate and importation of wood and guano. The Davies' vessels also carried thousands of emigrants from Anglesey and Gwynedd to the USA and Canada. The pier is now owned by Anglesey County Council and is the subject of a preservation order. RV Prince Madog (named after the discoverer of North America) lies alongside the newer St George's Pier. |
