Italiano: Maschera facciale Opha - Volto allungato di forma triangolare con mento a punta. L'enfasi cade sulla fronte ampia attraversata dalle scarificazioni verticali tipiche dell'etnia urhobo. Sommità della testa a cuspide con corna che piegano verso il centro fino a congiungersi. Patina crostosa rossastra. Queste maschere rendono onore alle spose urhobo (opha) e danzano in occasione dei festival che celebrano la divinità delle acque Ohworhu, le cui origini rimandano all'area più meridionale della Nigeria, nel delta del fiume Niger (Foss 2004). Le maschere opha rendono manifesto il ruolo che gli spiriti delle acque rivestono nel proteggere le giovani donne. Queste maschere sono viste nel contempo come belle e temibili; la loro bellezza non è però quella che appare all'occhio umano, ma quella che è apprezzata dagli spiriti: la maschera sarà tanto più bella quanto più somigliante agli spiriti stessi.
