| Description |
English: Race day, Portrush. The North West 200 motor cycle race (commonly "The North West"), over a public road circuit, usually attracts around 100,000 spectators. It has long been the practice to use the railway embankment near Dhu Varren station 785575 as a grandstand. The train is the 11.10 Coleraine - Portrush. The crowds are still arriving to secure their place in the sun. The rudimentary fencing beside the railway has now been replaced by something more substantial. |
