This physics image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. It is recommended to name the SVG file “Radiation Pattern Dipole PD.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.
Description

This diagram was created by Konrad Roeder. It has been released into the Public Domain.

This is an ideal radiation pattern for a dipole antenna. If the dipole is positioned vertically, then the E-Plane is a cross section of the radiation pattern looking from the side and the H-Plane is looking down along the axis of the antenna. If the dipole is positioned horizontally, then the E-Plane is looking down on the antenna and the H-Plane is looking out along the axis of the antenna.
