Summary
editThis physics image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with
{{vector version available|new image name}} .
It is recommended to name the SVG file “Radiation Pattern Dipole PD.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter. |
DescriptionRadiation Pattern Dipole PD.png |
This diagram was created by Konrad Roeder. It has been released into the Public Domain. This is an ideal radiation pattern for a dipole antenna. If the dipole is positioned vertically, then the E-Plane is a cross section of the radiation pattern looking from the side and the H-Plane is looking down along the axis of the antenna. If the dipole is positioned horizontally, then the E-Plane is looking down on the antenna and the H-Plane is looking out along the axis of the antenna. |
