Summary edit

Description

Measuring a quality control sample, which contains a known quantity of radioactivity, using a liquid scintillation counter. The counter measures the radioactivity of low energy radionuclides such as tritium, carbon-14, nickel-63 and iodine-125 using a cocktail solution that converts the energy to detectable light pulses. The pulses are measured to verify the liquid scintillation counter is operational and meets established performance criteria.
