Bij begin van wekelijkse uitzending door Radio Oranje voor de jeugd. Herinnert aan artikel mevr. Roosevelt over 'The moral of Democracy'. Van welk belang goede voorlichting en vorming van de jeugd is. Van welke Nederlandse jongeren (ook in Indië) zijn vervuld. Ons volk is een vrijheidslievend en verdraagzaam volk. Onze cultuur is als een compositie van Rembrandt zo rijk geschakeerd. Tot wie meent dat ons volk verdeeld was zeg ik: Wie zoals ik in de gelegenheid was met het geestelijke leven van onze
jeugdbeweging in aanraking te komen weet dat een gevoel van verantwoordelijkheid voor het lot van de naaste, een opofferende liefde voor ons land en volk en een onstuimige begeerte om samen te werken aan de jonge mensen van alle schakeringen samenbond.
English: The collection of Broadcasts from Radio Oranje (Radio Orange) contains a selection of the radio broadcasts that were transmitted between 1940 and 1945. They were broadcasts created by the Dutch Government in exile in London, transmitted to encourage and inform the people of the Netherlands whilst under occupation. This digitized audio file is a so called semi-finished product. During digitization an attempt was made to get as much detail from the original source as possible. This can sometimes mean that there is still a need for post-production to get the best possible end-product for human consumption.
