Die Bulgaren aber, die sahen, daß sie ihm nicht widerstehen konnten, baten darum getauft zu werden, und untewarfen sich den Griechen. Der Kaiser taufte nun ihren Fürsten und alle Bojaren und schloß Frieden mit den Bulgaren. ..."(Graßhoff, Freydank, Sturm: Rauchspur der Tauben. Radziwiłł-Chronik, S. 31)
