English: 4 foot long telescope manufactured in Germany. In response to pressure from Prof. Tomasz Zebrowski (1714-1758) to provide the Vilnius University Astronomy Department with equipment and telescopes, Mikolaj Radziwill (1702-1762), Grand Duke of Lithuania and Governor of Vilnius, donated. The telescope was covered in Moroccan leather, with an inscription engraved in gold letters on the side: Dono celsissimi principis Michaelis Radziwill palat: Viln. supr: ducis exerc: M.D.L. cessit Acad: Viln: S. J. ad usum astronomicos. White hall of the Vilnius university library Lietuvių: 12 cm (5 colių) Gregorio sistemos teleskopas. Pirmasis Vilniaus astronomijos observatorijos teleskopas, kurį padovanojo Lietuvos didysis kunigaikštis Mykolas Radvila (1702-1762).
